Create a LINE Login channel so buttons open right inside LINE

From the FansNetwork team, for creators who have already connected LINE

It takes about 10 minutes. Afterwards, the gift, membership, wardrobe, room and live buttons the AI sends open right inside LINE and know which fan tapped them, with no login link.

LINE Login

Create a LINE Login channel (8 steps)

The LINE screens are real screenshots of the LINE Developers Console (personal IDs and photos blurred). A pink box marks what to click or fill in; a grey dashed box marks what not to click. Steps without a screenshot yet name the exact button text to look for.

Open the LINE Developers Console and log in with the LINE account that manages your Official Account

Choose "Log in with LINE account". Use the same LINE account that manages your Official Account, or you will not see it. A computer is easiest.

Under Providers on the left, open the provider your Official Account lives in

After logging in, the left menu shows Providers with your providers listed under it. Click the one your Official Account is in (the one you opened in step 5 of the connect-LINE guide). On its Channels tab you see your Official Account's existing channel card (it says Messaging API) and a Create a new channel tile next to it.
Create the new channel in this same provider: LINE gives each fan a different user ID in every provider, so a LINE Login channel in another provider cannot recognise your fans, and a channel cannot be moved to another provider later.

If you are on your Official Account's channel page (it says Messaging API under the name, with the tabs Basic settings / Messaging API / LIFF / Security / Roles), do NOT use its LIFF tab: LINE does not allow LIFF apps on Messaging API channels. Click the provider name on the left or in the path at the top to go back to the channel list, then create a separate LINE Login channel in the next step.

Choose Create a new channel, then LINE Login

On the provider's Channels tab choose Create a new channel. A "Choose a channel type to continue" window opens with four types: LINE Login, Messaging API, Blockchain Service and LINE MINI App. Pick LINE Login, the first one.
Do not pick Messaging API (your Official Account already has that channel), and do not pick LINE MINI App: FansNetwork creates your LIFF on a LINE Login channel.

Fill in the form (region, country, name, description) and choose Create

Fill it in from top to bottom (the numbers match the screenshots). The Provider at the top must be your Official Account's provider; if not, go back to step 2.
① Region to provide the service: the region your fans are in (Taiwan for Taiwan).
② Company or owner's country or region: required. It starts as Not set and shows "Don't leave this empty" until you pick one. Individuals pick the country or region where they live.
③ Channel icon (optional): choose Register and upload a square photo, ideally yours. When a fan minimises the page inside LINE, the small round picture in the corner is this icon. You can change it later under Basic settings → Channel icon; phones may need a while or a LINE restart to show the new one.
④ Channel name: up to 20 characters, must not contain "LINE", and no emoji (the "4-byte Unicode" rule on screen means emoji and a few rare characters). For example: Mia's Lounge (use your own name).
⑤ Channel description: also no emoji, up to 500 characters. For example: Opens gifts, membership and fan pages inside LINE
⑥ Further down: tick Web app under App types, enter your Email address, leave Privacy policy URL and Terms of use URL empty, tick the LINE Developers Agreement, then choose Create.

Create does nothing or shows red text? Usually the name or description contains an emoji, the name is over 20 characters or contains "LINE", or Company or owner's country or region is still Not set.

Switch the channel from Developing to Published

After Create you land on the new channel's page: it says LINE Login under the name, and below that a box reads Developing ●. Click that box (①) → choose Publish in the window that opens → when it reads Published you are done; there is no review.
If it stays Developing, only you (the channel's admins and testers) can open the buttons; fans get an error.

Copy the Channel ID and Channel secret from Basic settings

Still on this LINE Login channel page, open the Basic settings tab (①). The first row under Basic information is the Channel ID (②), a number: use the copy icon next to it.
The Channel secret is further down the same tab, below the channel name and description fields: a string of letters and digits with a copy icon and an Issue button. Use the copy icon; do not press Issue, which creates a new secret and stops the old one working.
This channel also has a LIFF tab, but you do not need to add a LIFF app yourself: in the next step "Create LIFF automatically" in the FansNetwork dashboard does it for you.

Do not copy them from your Official Account's Messaging API channel: it has a Channel ID and Channel secret too, but they will be rejected. Check that the page says LINE Login under the channel name.

Paste them into the FansNetwork dashboard and press "Create LIFF automatically"

Channels page → LINE card → the "Open buttons inside LINE (LIFF)" section (it also appears right after you connect LINE in the creation wizard). Paste the Channel ID and Channel secret and press "Create LIFF automatically" (自動建立 LIFF). When a LIFF ID shows, you are done: every button the AI sends now opens inside LINE.

(Optional) Link the channel to your Official Account

Back on the LINE Login channel's Basic settings tab, scroll all the way down to the Add friend option section. Linked LINE Official Account is where you pick your Official Account: click Edit (①) → choose your Official Account → Update. Once set, it shows your Official Account's ID and name.
Fans who are not friends yet then see an add-friend option when they open a button.

What is LIFF, and why set it up?

LIFF is a web page that opens inside LINE. Once it is set up, a fan who taps a button the AI sent stays in LINE, and LINE tells us which fan it is, so there is no login link to tap.

Is it required?

Yes. When you create a companion and connect your LINE Official Account, you finish this step before entering the dashboard: without a LIFF, buttons open in the browser and rely on a one-time login link, which often gets fans stuck. Following the steps above takes about 5 minutes. If you have not connected LINE yet, you can enter the dashboard first and do this together with connecting LINE on the Channels page.

What if I see an error?

"Channel ID or Channel secret is wrong": copy them again from Basic settings of the LINE Login channel, not the Messaging API channel. The Channel ID is digits only.

"This is a Messaging API channel, not a LINE Login channel": you pasted your Official Account's channel. Create a separate LINE Login channel (steps 3 to 6).

The LIFF tab on your Official Account's channel will not let you add a LIFF app: LINE does not allow LIFF on Messaging API channels. Skip it and create a LINE Login channel (step 3).

Create does nothing when you make the channel: the name or description has an emoji, the name is over 20 characters or contains "LINE", or Company or owner's country or region is still Not set. See step 4.

"This LINE Login channel is already used by another companion": each companion needs its own LINE Login channel; create a new one.

"This channel already has the maximum of 30 LIFF apps": delete unused LIFF apps on the channel's LIFF tab, or create a new LINE Login channel.

Buttons open but say the app is unavailable, or only work for you: the channel is still Developing; do step 5.

Fans who open a button are asked to log in again or are not recognised: the LINE Login channel is in a different provider from your Official Account. Create it in the same provider (step 2) and press "Create LIFF automatically" again.

Is my Channel secret safe?

Paste it only into the FansNetwork dashboard and do not share it. It is stored on our servers and used only to create or repair your LIFF.

If it leaks: press Issue next to Channel secret in Basic settings to get a new one, then press "Create LIFF automatically" in the dashboard again.
